We make established businesses
look and run like much bigger ones.

You are already good at the thing you do — the reviews say so and the phone rings on recommendation. What you do not have is the twelve-person marketing department your national competitor has. This is that department, at a price a Surrey business will actually pay, and it runs on four things.

  1. 01

    Automation

The admin does itself. Enquiries answered in a minute, invoices read, the diary kept full.

    From £145 + £99/mo
  2. 02

    Websites

Five pages, live in a working week, fast enough to load on one bar of signal in a van.

    From £499
  3. 03

    Social

Eight posts a month from jobs you actually finished, written and scheduled for you.

    From £299/mo
  4. 04

    Brand

Mark, colour and type that hold up on a van door and on a £30,000 quote.

    From £650

In that order, because that is the order that pays. Most studios start at four and work backwards — it looks better in the pitch, and it is why the invoice tends to arrive a long time before the return does.

What lands in the first ten days.

Dated, not estimated

These are dates, not phases. Start on a Monday and this is what exists a fortnight later. Where a date is going to slip we tell you before you have to ask, with a new one attached.

  1. Day 1

    A thirty-minute call

What you sell, what it is worth, and what eats the week. You get a written price and a date afterwards, not a proposal to wait for.

  2. Day 5

    The site is live

Five pages, written here, on your own domain. Not a staging link you have to chase — live, indexed, and taking enquiries.

  3. Day 8

    The first automation runs

Usually lead response. Built, tested against your own phone and inbox, and walked through with you until you have watched it work once.

  4. Day 10

    The first real numbers

Enquiries in, how fast each one was answered, what got booked. In an email, in plain words, with no dashboard to log into.

If any of those dates slip, we tell you before you have to ask. Rolling monthly after that, one month's notice, no lock-in.

01 · AI & automation

Your business shouldn't stop when you do.

Enquiries answered in under a minute at two in the morning. Supplier invoices read and drafted into Xero without anyone typing. A diary that fills itself and re-fills a cancellation before you notice it went.

  • 00:60Every enquiry answered inside a minute, day or night, with a real qualifying question
  • 1 dayReturned every month once invoice processing stops being someone's evening
  • 24/7Bookings taken, reminded and re-filled against your actual calendar

Hi, after a quote for a bathroom refit in Cobham. When could someone come and look?
Evening Sarah — thanks for getting in touch. Roughly what size is the room, and is it a full refit or a replacement suite? I can hold Thursday 9am or Friday 2pm for a survey.
Full refit, about 2.4 × 2m. Thursday works.

A website should be your best salesperson.

Five pages, written here from one proper conversation, live in a working week. Hand-built and static, so it loads on one bar of signal in a van and still scores in the nineties three years from now.

03 · Social media

Look as busy as you actually are.

You text us photographs from the job. We write it, make it, schedule it and report on it. Eight posts a month from work you have already done, approved once and then left alone.

04 · Brand & content

Look like the price you charge.

Most established firms are charging premium money behind a logo made in 2011 and three different shades of blue. Mark, colour, type, livery and photography, tidied into one set that holds together on a van, an invoice and a website.

  • One setLogo, palette, type and layout rules, delivered as files you own outright

Services in detail

We do six things, not four. These are the other two, and we will not sell you either of them in month one. Spending on advertising before enquiries are answered properly means paying to generate leads you then lose — so these come after the first four are working, usually around month four, and only if the numbers say they are worth it.

The three that save the most labour.

All twenty automations

Twenty automations are listed on the automation page. These are the three that come first for almost every business we speak to, in the order we would build them. Each is priced separately so you can take one, see how it goes, and decide about the rest afterwards.

01

Instant Lead Response

Website forms, Facebook, Google ads and portal enquiries answered inside sixty seconds, day or night — with a real qualifying question rather than an auto-reply. Response time predicts whether an enquiry converts better than almost anything else you can control.

£195 + £149/mo
02

Invoice Processing

Supplier bills read automatically — supplier, date, net, VAT and line items extracted, matched against your purchase orders and drafted into Xero, QuickBooks or Sage. You approve; you stop transcribing. Usually a day a month back.

£795 + £249/mo
03

Scheduling & Reminders

Your real calendar connected so people book themselves against genuine availability, then reminders that cut no-shows — and a cancellation offered onward to the next person waiting before the slot goes cold.

£295 + £149/mo

Instant Lead Response, Scheduling and Review Requests together are Autopilot — £495 to set up, £399 a month, reported as one number rather than three. Separately they come to £685 and £427.

Five days, brief to live.

Bigger builds, more days

This is the five-page build, the one most people start on. No discovery workshop, no proposal deck, and no stage where you are waiting on us without knowing what for. A bigger site takes longer and we say so up front: seven working days when we write the copy from scratch, ten for eight pages, fourteen for twelve.

01Day 01

Brief

Half an hour on a call, then photographs of the showroom, the van, the treatment room — that is where the pictures and half the words come from. What you sell, who buys it, and what the current site fails to do.

02Day 02

Words

We write every page ourselves rather than sending you a content questionnaire and waiting. You read them once and mark anything that is wrong.

03Day 03

Design and build

Your photographs, your prices, your towns — designed around the copy rather than poured into a layout chosen first. Static pages, so it loads in under a second, and WCAG 2.2 AA so nobody is shut out.

04Day 04

Yours to check

On a private link. One round of changes, included, made the same day. Everything after that is quoted before it starts, so you never get a bill you did not agree to.

05Day 05

Live

On your domain, indexed, taking enquiries — not a staging link you chase. The domain stays in your name throughout. Then the automation goes on and the marketing starts.

The work behind the studio

All work

Twenty-five years of it, for organisations with marketing departments and budgets to match. These are the two agencies our founder ran digital and client services for, and the brands that came with them.

Four agencies, one proposition

A group of four specialist agencies — consultancy, interface design, development and support, and a data and automation practice — that read to clients as four suppliers. The job was to make them one, without flattening what each was actually good at.

A Tuesday, either way.

Same business, same enquiries

The two columns below are the same business on the same day, with the same enquiries coming in. The left is how it runs now. The right is how it runs once the admin is automated. Nothing on the left is a disaster, which is exactly why it never gets fixed.

Without any of it
  1. 07:40Two enquiries came in overnight. Both are still sitting there.
  2. 09:15On site. Phone rings twice. You call one back at lunch; the other has booked someone else.
  3. 13:00Quote promised Friday goes out Monday. You never find out why it went quiet.
  4. 18:30Van unloaded. Fourteen supplier invoices to key in, so it is not tonight.
  5. 21:00A cancellation for Thursday morning. Nobody is told, so the slot just goes.

Nothing here is a disaster. That is the problem — none of it is visible enough to fix.

With it
  1. 02:14Overnight enquiry answered in under a minute, with a real question. She replies at seven.
  2. 09:15On site. Both missed callers already have a text and a booking link in your name.
  3. 13:00Friday's quote went out Tuesday and chased itself on Thursday.
  4. 18:30Fourteen invoices already read and drafted into Xero. You approve them in six minutes.
  5. 21:04Thursday's cancellation is offered onward and re-filled before you have seen the message.

Same day, same business, same phone. The difference is that none of it needed you awake.

Everything is priced on the page. If you have to book a call to find out what something costs, the answer is usually more than you wanted.

Design Surrey On pricing
Who you are dealing with

Twenty-five years, pointed at Surrey.

You will be dealing with one person, and this is his record. It matters because the people who normally sell to a Surrey installer have not run a £55 million budget, and the people who have do not answer their own phone.

Design Surrey is new. The experience behind it is not. Our founder has spent twenty-five years in digital marketing across London, EMEA, the US and Africa — Advertising Director at Accenture running budgets up to £55 million, Digital Business Unit Director on Meta's EMEA launch, Head of Digital Marketing at the GSMA building Mobile World Live into a 200,000-subscriber media business, and Head of Digital Marketing at Samsung Africa leading a team of thirty-six.

Most recently Head of Digital Marketing and Client Services at Konekt Group in London, across three agency brands. Twenty-five years of global work, now living and working in Surrey — Design Surrey is that model scaled down and pointed at businesses on his own doorstep, at a price a Cobham showroom will actually pay.

The questions everybody asks.

The ones that come up on almost every first call, answered here so you do not have to book one to find out. If yours is not here, ask it in the form at the bottom and we will answer it in writing.

How quickly can you actually go live?

Automation in five working days. A five-page website in five to seven, eight pages in ten, twelve in fourteen — counted from the day we have your copy, photographs and logo, not from the day you sign. If material arrives late the date moves by the same number of days and we tell you at the time rather than at the end.

Am I tied in?

No. Every retainer is rolling monthly with one month's notice, in writing, at any time. No minimum term and no cancellation fee. Your domain stays in your own registrar account throughout, and the site, copy and photographs are yours on final payment. If you leave you change one setting and you are gone.

What does it cost to keep the site running?

Twelve months of hosting, updates, backups and monitoring are included with every build. After that it is Care at £69 a month, which also covers changes made and live within twenty-four hours. Hosting itself costs us almost nothing, which is why we do not try to make money on it.

Do you guarantee I will rank on Google?

No, and be careful of anyone who does. Nobody controls Google, and a ranking guarantee is either a guess or a trick. What we will guarantee is delivery against a date we give you before you pay anything: five working days for the five-page build, seven when we write the copy from scratch, ten and fourteen for the bigger two. Miss it and you do not pay. Everything else we report honestly, including the months it did not work.

Is the AI going to pretend to be a person?

No. The receptionist says at the start of the call that it is an automated assistant. Callers know, and it does not cost us bookings. Your number is forwarded rather than ported, so nothing changes on your side and the whole arrangement can be undone in one step.

Will you send marketing to a list I have bought?

No, whoever asks. Review requests and campaigns go only to people who have actually bought from you, with an opt-out in every message, and we screen against TPS and CTPS before any call. Penalties under the regulations now reach the higher of £17.5 million or four per cent of turnover, and it would be your business on the receiving end.

I only want one small thing. Is that a waste of your time?

Not at all. Foothold exists for exactly that — five pages from £499, live in five days. Plenty of clients start with one automation at £149 a month and add nothing for a year. We would rather do one thing that works than sell you a bundle you did not need.
